The Tired + Busy Mom's Guide to Streamlined Skincare: 5 Steps to Radiant Skin

Life as a mom often leaves little time for self-care, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your skin's health and radiance. Believe me, as a business owner, mom of a toddler + a doggie that I love to pieces, I was in the thick of it. My saving grace WAS my skincare routine. It made me feel like me again. The scents transformed me from tired, overwhelmed mom, to having moments that brought me back to me. Throughout these last couple years I have tried and failed. But I have now found what really does work- the right time, consistency and the right products. Follow below and I'll help you achieve an effective skincare routine that fits perfectly into your jam-packed schedule. In this guide, we'll walk you through five simple steps to attain radiant skin without adding extra stress to your day.

Step 1: Cleanse and Refresh (1 minute)

Start your day, or end it, with a gentle cleanser. I tend to wash religiously at night, but skip the cleansing in the morning. That works great for my skin (normal to dry).  Our soap bar is VERY quick to cleanse with and would be perfect in the morning if you need to cleanse then. Massage it onto damp skin for 30 seconds, then rinse off. When you have the time, choose our triple threat to oil cleanse at night. Its detoxing and effectively removes dirt and impurities while providing a burst of hydration.

Step 2: Hydrate and Make Happy (1 minute)

Toner! Do you need one? In my opinion yes. Toner is a versatile and often underestimated product that can provide several benefits for your skin's health and appearance. Benefits include: balancing pH Levels, hydration, preparation for subsequent steps, enhanced penetration, calming and soothing, oil control, and can aid in makeup application.

Step 3: Hydrate (30seconds)

Skin aging is associated with loss of skin moisture, and hyaluronic acid is the key ingredient when it comes to combating or reversing these signs. “Because of its water-pulling qualities, hyaluronic acid can refine and age-rewind in those dry, sunken, or 'crepe' areas." Apply to damp skin, a little bit goes a long way

Step 4: Moisturize

After applying a water based product which hydrates, its time to use a restoring oil that moisturizes and locks the water in. Our Triple threat is perfect for daytime, and our Moon Light Magic for Night time! Apply to damp skin, pat in and don't forget your neck area!

Step 5: Cream to lock it all in (30 seconds)

Your nighttime routine doesn't have to be elaborate. Invest in a good products that remove that also removes makeup, cutting down on the number of products you need. Lock in the goodness with a lightweight night cream that repairs and rejuvenates while you sleep. Creams also help to lock in your water based and oil based products, from evaporating.

Bonus Tip: Sunday Spa Moments (10 minutes)

On Sundays, treat yourself to a mini spa moment. Apply a hydrating mask or straight honey,  while you catch up on your favorite show or read a chapter of a book. This quick self-care ritual can be your weekly reset button for a refreshed and pampered feeling.
