The gentlest way to cleanse your skin is oil cleansing. It’s an easy process that can be very simple, and budget friendly.  It gently removes dirt, makeup, sunscreen, excessive oils that your skin produces, and can really get down and dirty with your pores.  It gives a deep cleansing by removing all the impurities, bacteria, dead skin cells + even helps to remove blackheads overtime, leaving your skin soft and moisturized.

The Triple Threat Serum

from $4.00 CAD

But I have oily skin Nicole!? But I have acne Nicole!? Won’t it make everything worse? It’s oil!  Not at all when done correctly.  Suitable for all skin types but you must choose the correct oils, and methods. It can be used to treat acne-prone skin, dry skin, oily skin, blemishes, mature skin and sensitive skin as well. It also balances our skin’s oil production and doesn’t strip away skin’s natural oil.  This method of cleansing leaves your skin happy, healthy and won’t abruptly disturb your skin's microbiome.  Our skin has bacteria on the surface just like the ones that live inside our digestive system. With harsh foaming cleansers + harmful chemical washes, all the good bacteria is also removed. This can leave space for the bad bacteria to move inside our skin, leading to numerous skin problems.

Some good choices for oil cleansing are:

Castor oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, apricot, argan oil, evening primrose, grape seed, sea buckthorn to name a few. You could also mix these at home to create a custom blend.

How much:

Oil cleansing can be performed 1-2 times, for sure at night because our cute faces are extra dirty by then.  It will leave your skin soft and well-hydrated before going to bed.

How to:

Before oil cleansing make sure that your face is dry. Do not wash or wet your face. Take a cotton round and get it wet with warm water. Ring it out. Pump a couple bumps of your oil of choice on the round. Now start massaging and cleaning your face with the round. Do it for 2-4 minutes. Pay attention to areas of concern, soft lines, blackheads, whiteheads, breakouts, hairline, etc. As you need to, get the round wet again and add more oil. When you are done, avoid rinsing it off with cold water. The entire magic happens when the warm wash cloth is used to gently wipe away the oil. Take a hot wash cloth and gently press into your skin. Have a little moment and take in all of the warmth!  In this way your blackheads dissolve overtime. Gently massage with the cloth in circular motion to remove all the oil.  Do it twice if needed.  Once you are finished, use a warm washcloth to remove it all, and follow with serums, moisturizers and sunscreen for the daytime.

Showering you all with love and light,

Nicole xo
