HOW TO TAKE A RITUAL-BASED APPROACH TO YOUR SKINCARE

Skincare rituals: 5 ways to add more love into your routine:

Whether your daily schedule is packed with activities, or these last few months has had you feeling sluggish, we can all take a little time to build beautiful skincare rituals. 

Skincare rituals don’t have to be very elaborate to be effective. By simply incorporating a little extra love into our daily skincare, we can transform a boring skincare routine into a moment of peace for our bodies and minds.  

Skincare Ritual vs. Skincare Routine

You may be thinking, “Well, I already wash and moisturize my face every day. That’s good enough.” 

You may be right in that you’re giving your skin the attention it deserves. 

However, a skincare ritual goes beyond the routine, mechanical process of caring for your skin and creates an opportunity to tune into your body, clear your mind, and take a moment to focus on more than just getting your skin clean. 

Here are a few easy strategies to build a skincare ritual 

  1. Create a beautiful skincare space

Think about where you usually do your skincare routine. If you’re always hunched over your bathroom sink slathering products onto your skin, you’re probably not enjoying that time very much. Create a more relaxing space in your bathroom. Put on some comfortable clothes, close the door, light a Lunah Hand Rolled Incense, and play some soft music as you do your skincare. 

  1. Include facial massage

One way to instantly feel relaxed during your skincare is by adding a facial massage a few times each week.   1. Add in simple skin treatments
